The third heat begins. In the first of three knock-out rounds, a group of four more amateur interior designers start their bid to win a place in the quarter final transforming cottages in the beautiful village of Tissington, in the Peak District. They are sales assistant Jamie, art director Rachel, garden designer Sarah and photographer Lily. Jamie – the youngest designer in the competition – struggles to pin down the traditional look he's been asked for, and runs the risk of antagonising his clients. Rachel has some clever techniques for creating easy artwork of the local area – but after clashing with her client over colours and television position, she's got a point to prove with her final scheme. Sarah has a battle on her hands to convince everyone her chosen green colour scheme will unify two ends of her room. Meanwhile Lily gives herself a huge task, having taken on many hand crafted elements for her scheme – all under the watchful eye of her painter and decorator client. Architectural historian Tom Dyckhoff explores the village and uncovers what life was like in these pretty Peak District cottages. It'll be down to judges Sophie and Daniel to decide which three amateurs have done the best job with their £1000 budget and three days, and which designer must leave the competition.
