In this episode he comes to the rescue of a lady in Hampshire suffering from a life threatening illness who despite her illness has devoted her time to fund raising. As a result her garden has suffered and is far from the sanctuary she craves. Alan turns up to surprise her then sends her away for 2 days and whilst his crack team of landscapers and horticulturalists, gets to work building Louise a stunning Japanese garden. As the team set about transforming Louise's bare patch, Alan visits Apple Court, an amazing oriental garden just down the road, looking for ideas in this breathtaking garden to feed back into his design. Meanwhile landscape gardener Katie Rushworth heads off to look for dramatic Japanese plants to fill the tiny space and hard landscaping expert David Domoney finds some very clever ways to stop the garden being overlooked. And horticulturalist Francis Tophill gets to work planting amazing varieties of bamboo. At last the garden is finished and Alan reveals it to a tearful Louise. It truly has become her dream garden.
