Jimmy Doherty travels to the Yukon wilderness in Canada to find out what made a British couple quit the London rat race for a log cabin in bear country. Twice the size of the UK, yet with a population of just 34,000 people, the Yukon seems like the perfect place to get some peace and quiet. But without electricity or running water Jimmy soon learns the harsh realities that come with living off grid. With temperatures about to plummet, Jimmy must help British couple Neil and Louise prepare for the fast approaching winter. This involves hunting for moose and grouse to stop the couple from starving and chain-sawing down enough trees to prevent them from freezing. While appreciating the beautiful scenery and the absence of stresses of modern living, Jimmy must decide whether it's worth it for the hard graft and threat of cabin fever and bears.
