Jimmy Doherty travels to the other side of the world to meet a British couple who have ditched their nine-to-five jobs in England to raise a family on a tropical island in the Pacific Ocean. Surrounded by lush rainforest and one of the most beautiful coral reefs in the world, this place appears to be the stuff of dreams for keen scuba divers Sophie and Simon, as well as an idyllic home for their 16-month-old toddler Max. But after an early encounter with a 6-metre python, Jimmy begins to see a darker side of paradise. From lethal centipedes to monitor lizards and water-pythons, the island is teeming with potentially deadly wildlife which makes Jimmy wonder why anyone would bring up a child in such a dangerous place. Jimmy faces his own fears when Simon takes him on a night dive. It proves to be one of the most amazing experiences of his life. From underwater diving with beautiful fish to spectacular views of nearby volcanoes, Jimmy is awe-struck by the sheer beauty of the island and its surrounding waters, but he is also shocked by the primal nature of the place and questions if this couple's lifestyle choice is the right one.
